I can’t believe it is Friday already. I hope you have had a good week. I have taken a couple of extra pictures for you all, I hope you enjoy them. One is the palette of colours that I am using for the leaves. The quail have better context now the grass under layers have been built up around them, still the final layers to do. To date I am happy with the progress…. there is so much to do on this painting yet. I look forward to it.Enjoy
The Palette of colours below including Iron oxide black, ultramarine blue, transparent iron oxide red, transparent iron oxide yellow, mars yellow, naples yellow, cadmium yellow deep, cadmium yellow medium, lead white, and titanium mixed with lead white for opaque highlights. I then mix tints and shades from those to make working quicker.
