I am now getting through the “messy” stage of the colour block in. Without fail I always find lessons in my work, sometimes frustrations, it is here that perseverance helps, there are always things to learn and discover, always a humbling experience. The simplicity of oil paint on panel and yet the nuances and learning never end. I do enjoy this part of the challenge, especially as the image evolves into something more refined. This goes hand in hand with the knowledge that nothing is perfect and the striving for excellence never ends. I hope you enjoy.
