Time to try and get back to my regular Friday posts. Good progress on this piece of artwork. I love having the opportunity to further my skills even more with each work of art. I never stop learning. Having spent a few weeks cutting out the negative space I am now enjoying the bas-relief carving of the motif, at this stage just the roughing out stage. This is one of my favourite themes on my carved vessels and is very evocative of the Tsavo region in Kenya. It fills me with pleasant memories as I go. The deep red fine dust in the dry season is something I will never forget when traveling on the roads in Tsavo region. I wish you all a nice weekend.
