Progressing well. Imagine painting a picture and then add making the canvas, cutting out the picture so that it still holds together physically and compositionally and then carving, before you even get to painting. Also let’s not forget pushing the boundaries to make it look as real as possible with the interplay of light from within the vessel as well as the painting itself. I think to do this well there are so many things to bring together in a balanced way in a single art form.
